What’s it all about?
We are embarking on a refurbishment plan for our church sanctuary. There has been very little investment in this part of our building for over 60 years, and it now lags behind what God is doing with us as a family.
The refurb will be in three broad phases:
- Phase 1: Remove the downstairs pews and replace with flexible seating
- Phase 2: Replace the old, ineffective and expensive electric fires with a new modern economic heating system
- Phase 3: Re-carpet the floor and make good

1. PLEASE PRAY
The story of the Church Centre (2007) was a remarkable one of seeing God at work. Please pray again for God’s provision, not just in finance, but in clarity of vision and courage in moving forward in God’s mission for us all.
Especially in phase 1 would you pray with us for those that we long to one day sit in the chairs that we are purchasing. For family members, friends, neighbours, prodigals and the many people known to God, but not yet known to us, who will join us in our family of faith. Look out for opportunities over the coming weeks to join us in those prayers.
2. PLEASE CONSIDER WHAT YOU MIGHT GIVE:
a) REGULAR PLANNED GIVING (A pledge)
This can be most effective. Giving a modest amount each month makes a really BIG difference. We have talked about this, and seen its success so many times. If you are able to commit to a regular amount over the next 6 months, 12 months or 2 years for example that will make a huge difference.

b) ONE OFF GIFTS
Of course, these are equally valuable. Maybe you have been blessed in one way or another, and you have capital funds available. Your gift now will really help us, and build confidence in us moving forward. Maybe the money is there but you can’t access it for a period of time. No problem. Letting us know that it is coming really helps.
MAKING ONE-OFF GIFTS either:
- Cash or Cheque. These can be placed inside one of the special Sanctuary Refurbishment Giving Envelopes and placed in the offering box before or after the service on a Sunday. Please ensure you write your details on the envelope to allow us to collect Gift Aid on your donation (an extra 25%!)
- Bank Transfer. You can send money directly from your bank account to the Sanctuary Refurb bank account. The details are Sort Code: 40-52-40 Account Number: 00017781. Please ensure you include the word REFURB in the Reference for the payment as well as your name or church gift aid number. If you have registered for Gift Aid with us, then we can collect Gift Aid on your donation.
- Use the form at the bottom of this page. Please bear in mind that the church will incur a small charge for each donation given in this way (you can cover this charge for us if you wish).
